Zig Zag Tag

ZIg Zag Tag is a family game (8-80yrs) where you play a game of tag. 

 The gameboard is modular. Its shape changes with the number of players. Each player has four runners and you can choose how many are active on the gameboard. The objective is to capture as many runners as possible.

Playing with the whole family is a great bonding experience, unless "bad grandma" shows up turning the game hyper-competitive.

 On your turn you're trying to tag other players runners, but when it's not your turn you want your runners to be safe. You tag another runner by landing on or jumping the square they're on, and you get another turn.

 To be safe, you can hide on protected squares or you can teleport to another part of the gameboard. You can also reclaim any tagged runners by going to the homebase of a player who has captured one of yours.  
 

How do you win? 

Do you aggressively chase other player's runners, tagging as many as quickly as possible to catch them off guard? 

Are you the steady competitive type who just keeps clocking up tags surprising your competition by your stealth?

Do you play a long game; keeping your runners safe before pouncing when others least expect it?
